What’s your favorite aspect of the PR tech space?
My favorite aspect of the PR tech space is the fast-paced nature of the industry. There is never a dull moment and that means it’s important to be on top of the latest trends, which is an exciting challenge.
What’s your area of interest and expertise?
My background is a mix of both very consumer and deep tech, and recently my interests lie somewhere in the middle including digital health, venture capital and the future of work space. I think it’s beneficial to have experience in all types of industries as it can help with fresh ideas that you can apply in different ways.
What did you do prior to Highwire?
Prior to Highwire I was working in-house at Zynga and also spent time at Text 100.
What led you to PR as a career?
In college I was a communications major, unsure of the direction I was going to take post-graduation. In an effort to figure it out, I tried to gain as much real-world experience as I could through internships. One of my favorite experiences was at a small public affairs firm in Santa Barbara and I immediately loved the fast-paced environment and uncertainty of what would happen at the beginning of each day. Once I caught the PR bug, I never looked back.
What I’m doing when I’m not working?
I am a true crime junkie, I challenge you to find a Dateline or 48 Hours mystery I haven’t seen!
Where are you from?
I’m from Redondo Beach, a small beach town in Los Angeles.
What do you miss about where you’re from?
Right now, nothing! I am lucky enough to be back in Los Angeles enjoying the amazing weather, diverse food and beach living that I had missed in the 13 years that I was away.
