What’s the one thing you really enjoy doing?

Playing soccer! I’ve played my whole life and still get out on the field occasionally at a local co-ed adult soccer league.

What led you to Accounting as a career?

When it came time to choose my major at UC Santa Barbara, I had no idea what I wanted to do! I had always enjoyed math classes so I thought taking courses in economics and accounting was a natural path. During my first accounting course, I remember being enthralled with the concept of all transactions balancing in the financial statements through debits and credits (not an interest most of my classmates shared!). After that, I really focused my energy on all things accounting and haven’t looked back.

What did you do prior to Highwire?

Prior to Higherwire, I spent a large portion of my career at The Honest Company. It was truly an amazing experience both personally and professionally. I will always cherish the relationships and mentorship during my time there. It taught me who you work with is as important as the company you work for and that ultimately played into my decision to join Highwire - I’m so lucky to work with this team!

What I’m doing when I’m not working…

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my family. I have two little ones (2.5 and 1 at the time of writing this) and it’s pretty incredible to watch them discover the world. We love to spend our time outdoors - going to the beach, hiking the Santa Monica mountains, skiing, playing soccer, etc.
