I am the CFO at Highwire with two decades of experience fostering the growth of communications agencies.
Numbers, advocacy, and a sprinkle of baseball, read on to find out what Joe would be doing instead if he wasn’t working in the communications industry.
I truly enjoy problem solving and being around high energy people who know how to raise each other up.
Professionally, finance, markets, and data analysis get most of my attention. Personally, I am a strong proponent of diversity, equal rights, and education for all. In 2020, my family and I founded a modest scholarship for diverse students at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School. It was named in honor of my father, an Iranian immigrant, who believed everyone should be entitled to higher education.
For 19 years, I was the CFO and COO for M Booth, a communications company in our industry. Sprinkled in during that time I also ran a baseball media outlet, was a member of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America, co-hosted a show on SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio, and was an amateur scout for a major league team.
I’d likely be working in baseball as a professional or amateur scout.
I spend the majority of my time with the most important people in my life, my family. Lucky for me, they enjoy many of the same things I do including sports, travel, nature, brilliant sunsets, and live music. Not many things are more enjoyable to me than watching a band perform at a local spot along the shore near my home on Long Island.
Everyone at Highwire is hands-on with client work and the principals are no exception. Some of the brands Kathleen has worked with.
