Andrew Robinson

I bring nearly 20 years of HR experience across the public relations, advertising, marketing, retail, and professional services industries. 

I specialize in helping companies scale to meet exponential growth goals while delivering award-winning employee experiences across diverse employee populations and industries. 

I am actually a Highwire boomerang.

Prior to Highwire, I helped build and scale HR functions for companies like Trader Joe’s, Pacific Maritime Association, and others. 

During my Highwire “hiatus”, I relocated from SF to LA (when working remotely was not as much of a norm) and worked for multiple agencies across the RAPP Family of Brands under the Omnicom network leading people strategies for the Western Region.

Despite all the companies I have had the privilege of working with, Highwire's vibrant and inclusive culture, commitment to career development, and people-first approach to leadership have been unparalleled.

I have always been driven by helping others find their full potential, making an impact, and big picture problem-solving.  All my career assessment tests in school recommended HR and I guess they were right.  Coming up in the HR field during its evolution to become a strategic HR business partner, I found the perfect combination to match my passion with my strengths.

Being a gay bi-racial black man, I am most proud of fostering an inclusive culture here at Highwire, bringing my whole self to work, and supporting our team in their career journey while watching them grow and be challenged in all the best ways.  

When I am not working I like to travel (mainly places with white sand beaches), watch HGTV to think of new ways to decorate the house, or play with our Frenchie, Cava Tulum.
