5 questions with Highwire's VP, Health

Megan is an ace when it comes to cooking up strategic PR and communication initiatives.

What’s your area of interest and expertise?

I’m drawn to market positioning, strategic messaging work and cross-functional communications initiatives. There’s nothing that makes me happier than getting exactly the right people in a room to get something done together.

What did you do prior to Highwire?

I’ve been an agency kid my whole career, always focusing on health except for a brief stint right after school in big consumer brands. I’ve run the gamut from huge agency to the tiniest out there, and I’m happy to say that Highwire feels juuuuust right.

If you weren’t working in Health PR, what would you be doing instead?

My dream version of myself is out there somewhere working in interior design. More likely though, I’d be writing a collection of short stories while trying to work my way up to a novel.

What I’m doing when I’m not working…

I’m at the gym, digging through a cookbook at home, plotting my next trip abroad or I’m out on a walk seeing what’s up in my neighborhood.

Where are you from?

An answer in two parts - I was born in the Chicago area and moved to Minnesota when I was 11. So I like to say formative years are Minnesotan, sports allegiances are all Chicago.
