Peter White

My interests lie in the overlap of data and storytelling. I create and execute against strategies that are grounded in data but brought to life with creativity and, when possible, a dash of mischief. On any day I can be bringing together some combination of advertising, editorial, social media and influencer relations to achieve measurable business outcomes. 

Storytelling was always my obsession and I worked as both a cinema projectionist and movie journalist before changing trajectory. I started my marketing career in-house at Accenture and honed my skills agency-side. This combination of experience gave me an appreciation for life inside a large, innovative organization and a broad set of skills to achieve measurable business outcomes. 

I wanted to work in a creative environment and as part of a team. My past experience as a journalist taught me that working solo all of the time was not for me. I do my best work in partnership with others so marketing has given me the perfect combo of creativity and collaboration. 

I thrive on work that brings out the best in my team and my clients. Nothing makes me prouder than when I have the opportunity to create campaigns that test new ground. When there is that edge of uncertainty that means we’re doing something that is built on evidence but brand new. 

If I am helping others to grow, then I’m happy. I am grateful for the chance to teach with COOP as part of my role at Highwire. If I wasn’t here, I would want to be in a role that enabled inspiration through the Arts or education.  

I was born, raised and shaped in Ireland. In 2015, I moved with my wife to New York and could not be happier to call New Jersey home today. I take great pride in my heritage and have the utmost appreciation for the diverse backgrounds and perspectives that my colleagues bring to work every day.
