What do you at Highwire?
I work on a variety of tech clients and lead Highwire’s Digital Health practice.
Tell us about your background.
My experience was built in the enterprise with clients like HP, IBM and Cisco, but my latest passions and areas of expertise are in all things digital health and predictive analytics.
Where were you before Highwire?
During my over 15 year career in PR, I’ve worked on the Websphere IBM brand and helped the company put SOA (service-oriented architecture) on the map. I also once ran away to do PR for Rock and Rollers and their professional loudspeaker systems but it was short lived and I got back into technology in short order.
If you weren’t working in PR, what would you be doing instead?
At one time I would have said private detective because I love research and puzzles but now I lean more towards physical therapist (helping people recover from injuries in a calm environment).
What led you to PR as a career?
A mass exodus. I was working for a company where the PR/Marketing department went from 12 people to two in six weeks, at which point I went from department admin to the VP of marketing’s right-hand woman.
What are you spending your time on when you’re not at work?
Trying to finish my first novel and start the second, which will be part II in a series.
What’s a fun fact about you that’s not in your LinkedIn profile?
I once walked 500 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage trail.
